Believe It! Oct 12th – International Moment of Frustration Scream Day!

By DeDe Hausmann

Have you ever just been fed up for one reason or another and you just wanted to SCREAM.  On October 12th you can just let loose—-yes, there’s a day set aside for us to let out all of our frustrations!!!!

Thomas and Ruth Roy are the creators of this SPECIAL day.  At their website, Wellcat.com, I found the following suggested action for this day, “to share any or all of our frustrations, all citizens of the world will go outdoors at twelve hundred hours Greenwich time and scream for thirty seconds.  We will all feel better, or Earth will go off its orbit.  Co-sponsored by Low Thresholders of the Earth League.

I don’t know about you but I feel SO much better knowing there is a day so designated for us to voice our frustrations—yeh, right!   If I had to wait for one day/year to express my frustrations, watch out.  My husband of almost 40 years would have left me many years ago and my kids would have disowned me, thats for sure.

Think about how lucky we were when we were babies or young children.  Yelling or crying was considered the norm for unhappy or frustrated little ones.  We were picked up and coddled to help us get over whatever was bugging us.  As we age, though, we are taught to control our emotions or at least hold them in until we are alone and then we can let loose!!!

How do you release your frustrations?  Do you wait until it’s too much to bear and then scream no matter who’s around or do you seclude yourself and cry or scream?  Or, maybe you dive into some delicious goodie and EAT THE WHOLE THING?!!!!

It will be interesting to hear from those of you willing to share how you deal with your frustrations!  I want to hear how you creatively avoid having to wait til the International Moment of Frustration Scream Day on October 12th for your 30 seconds of scream release.   SHARE!!!!
